About this event

Forget the myths — aging isn’t about decline, it’s about evolving. In this lively, interactive session, Dr. Eastman takes us on an eye-opening journey through the science and reality of aging. You’ll discover that growing older doesn’t automatically mean becoming frail or ill. In fact, with the right knowledge and mindset, aging can be a time of strength, clarity, and continued vitality. We’ll explore the concept of "homeostenosis" — a fancy term for how our bodies gradually adapt to change — and what that means in real life. You’ll also learn ten essential truths about normal aging, many of which might surprise you

Dr. Alexis Eastman is an associate professor in the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. She serves as Director of Clinical Operations for Primary and Specialty Care in the Division, and as Medical Director of the Badger Prairie Health Center. Dr. Eastman has been named multiple times to the "Madison's Top Doctors" list.
