About this event

Being in The Right Place: Navigating Options as We Age - Part Two
Part two of Being in The Right Place will introduce the Decision Toolkit (DECIDE) to evaluate the best fit between a person's current residence vs. that residence's potential with upgrades vs. moving to a completely new residence. Galen will demonstrate its use via several case studies. From evaluation, the session will transition into planning and taking action, using SMART goal setting.

Presenter: Galen M. Metz, FLMI, AIAA, AIM, ACS

Galen serves as VP of the SAIL Operating Council, member of the SAILing committee, and currently serves as Executive Director of the EmployAbility Project, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between college students with disabilities and meaningful employment opportunities. Galen retired after 30 years of healthcare technology management, previously serving as Chief Information Officer of Group Health Cooperative. In retirement, Galen has authored books on retirement, technology, innovation, and neurodiversity. And he is actively pursuing his passion as a professional magician.

This workshop is part of SAILing into the future! The workshops are designed to introduce you to the critical components of an aging plan and are interactive sessions led by local professionals.
