About this event

This informative and enlightening interactive workshop explore the concept of "homeostenosis" and how it manifests in life as well as ten key things we should all know about normal aging. Dr. Eastman will help us understand that aging doesn't mean disease, nor does growing older mean we will become frail. We'll explore and dismantle some of the myths about aging that we've subscribed to over the years, and learn proactive approaches to preventing frailty.

Dr. Alexis Eastman is an associate professor in the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. She serves as Director of Clinical Operations for Primary and Specialty Care in the Division, and as Medical Director of the Badger Prairie Health Center. Dr. Eastman has been named multiple times to the "Madison's Top Doctors" list.

This workshop is part of SAILing into the future! The workshops are designed to introduce you to the critical components of an aging plan and are interactive sessions led by local professionals.
